Dragons star Jack Bird will remain at St George Illawarra after inking a two-year deal with the club, extinguishing fears he was set to backflip.
Bird, who joined the Dragons in 2021 following an injury-ravaged stint with the Broncos, will remain with the club until the end of 2024.
"Jack is an out-and-out footballer, a proven winner and a fantastic competitor who has, and will continue to add, great value to the team over the coming seasons," said Dragons general manager of football Ben Haran.

"St George Illawarra is where I first started my career and I'm proud to remain a Dragon," Bird said.
"The club gave me the chance to come back and play first grade after all the injuries I faced earlier in my career.
